A Stressful Life

by Aly

Sometimes life is stressful for a student. But most adults think that a kid’s life is easy. Sometimes it is easy, but most of the time it isn’t easy. We have to deal with pressure of being perfect to our friends and to the other kids or else we don’t have anything. We also have to do chores for money so we could buy things. We never get any say in the family because most adults don’t expect us to have good ides. We have to do a lot and adults think it’s easy to be a kid. Well I’ve got something to tell them! We have to deal with them grounding us, we do chores for about 5 dollars a week, and we have to watch our younger siblings. We don’t even get paid to watch them either! Adults don’t even ask us if we have plans anymore and I for one am soooo tired of being treated like I’m not part of the stinking family!\

So we try to escape these stresses by going to our rooms, joining sports, joining clubs so you can talk with some kids that are dealing with the same problems you are. Then parents ground us for doing something they probably did when they were 11-15 years old. They usually take away stuff that keeps you in touch with the world like cell phone. I have noticed that parents take away cell phones so we can’t keep in touch with our friends and am so tired.
In my opinion, this is what kids do to get back at them:

1. They sneak behind their back
2. They yell at their parents
3. They sleep over at a friend’s house

But some kids deal with worse ways like:
Cutting themselves, throwing up, not eating…

So that’s how kids deal with stress.
