The boy and his crush

by Yareli

Little Manhattan is a story about two 11 years olds fall in love. Gabe (Josh Hutcherson) and Rosemary (Charlie Ray) they were friends in kindergarten, but in second grade school started to resemble an Orthodox temple boy’s one side, girls on the other, invisible curtain in between. Gabe thought girls had cooties. But in fifth grade they went to karate class and they were partners. The setting is New York City.

This is a little about in the movie. Gabe wanted to conquer Rosemary. But rosemary never payed attention to him. Sometimes Gabe got jealous because in karate they weren’t partners anymore. They secretly liked each other but didn’t tell each other.

I like the movie because it has little bit of everything. And because it’s funny how Gabe cries. And because the movie wasn’t just for kids and it wasn’t just for adults. And they always got mad each other but they didn’t stay mad for long. When they hold hands they always sweated.

It’s hard to say why I didn’t like the movie. But I didn’t like the end wasn’t very cute. And boys think girls had cooties. And they didn’t like girls to touch them. That’s the things I didn’t liked.
