Yellowstone

The last special event that I went to was when I went to Yellowstone in the summer last year. It was a lot of fun. When you got into the gates of Yellowstone it was great. You could see the animals trotting around all over the place. You could smell the trees and grass. Sometimes you would see horrible things. You could see all of the ashes from the fire that burned down a lot of the park. It was terrible. If you think of it, there is a good side to it too. The fire opened up all of the seed pods in the pine cones. That way, there would be a lot of little trees that grow. There were a lot of animals there too. A lot of them you wouldn’t see if you were just driving. There were bison all over that you would see if you were driving. There was a lot to the park. You could see geysers all over. We went to see Old Faithful and it was really cool. We saw a white wolf, a Bald eagle, bison, a moose, deer, and two grizzly bear.

Wolf Creek Lodge

Going to Wolf Creek Lodge is really, really fun. It is just water rides everywhere and everyone is having fun. We went early in the morning and didn’t leave until it closed. It is a hotel and water park altogether. There is a big pool and every 10 minutes they put in these really big waves that move you all the way from the front to the back. My cousins and I always get into the pool at the very beginning. Sometimes they have just really little waves for the little kids. When the big waves are going to start a wolf howls to let you know. There are two water rides that are really fun. Going on them gets your heart racing and makes you feel like you’re going to fall out of boat. The one that I don’t remember name of isn’t too scary because, you just slide down closed in slides in tubes. The other one called The Howling Tornado is super fast and really gets your heart racing.

Going on The Howling Tornado is fun for everyone. At first when you get on you think to yourself, oh this alright nothing bad is going to happen, but then you get going really fast. You’re going down this enclosed tube and it’s pitch black the whole time. All of a sudden you drop down (but not very far), and then you go into this funnel and there are flashing lights all around you. You go up and down on the walls and you really feel like you are going to fall out. This ride is my most favorite ride of all times. After that you can go to the store there and get a wand. after you get a wand you can go around and play this game where you point your wand at different things and you get points every time. You have a book and it’s your clues. My cousins and I did this the whole time we were there and we had the time of our lives.

Fun At the Pool

Last summer I went to the swimming pool. It was scorching hot and as I ran across the hot road I couldn’t wait to get into the cool but slightly warm pool. When I got into the waiting room the blond and slightly chubby lady offered me a snack witch I declined. Then she asked for three dollars to go in the pool. I gave her the three dollars and ran and dived into the pool. I watched someone do a back flip into the pool. Then I got squashed by two people. Then someone one pulled me under water and the chlorine hurt my eyes and I heard some one splash when they let me back up. I swim to a ladder and shiver because it is cold I laid down in the sun for awhile and walk across the wet concrete and left the pool.

At home I decided that playing video games was more fun than the pool. The rest of the day I chilled and read. I went to the pool again though.

Nefer's Sunny Fair

When I went to the fair last year it was really sunny. I went on some rides with my sisters and some by myself. Some of the ones I wanted to go on were closed. I was walking through the stinky poop smell by animals and then I went by the swings and Magie was there. She had to leave because she had gone on the swings four times and had to throw up! My mom told me to wait outside for her! My mom told me to wait outside for her. It smelled really bad even though I was outside. She took really long.


Since she wasn’t coming out fast I left to get some food. It smelled like carne asada. I got some Chinese food and a strawberry smoothie. Magie’s mom got Chinese food and a smoothie too, while Magie was still in the bathroom. Then my dad came back because he had gone to the rodeo and we left. It was really fun at the fair except I didn’t get to go on rides with Magie.

Jonas Brothers Concert!

On February 1st, 2008 my best friend Lena and I went to Las Vegas to see the JONAS BROTHERS at the Planet Hollywood. Lena, my family, and I left Lone Pine on January 30th, 2008. On the way over to Las Vegas we had to stop at a really dirty rest stop that had water all over the floor. When we got to our house in Las Vegas it was around nine o’clock at night. We walked into our house in Vegas and my sister, Lena, and I fell flat on the floor. My mom said we needed to get up and get back in the truck to get something to eat. Lena and I asked for Sonic and we got some tatter tots and a salad to share and a slushy. Lena couldn’t eat that much because she was so tired.

The next day we went to the mall to get some shoes, tops, pants, caps, hair clips, and jewelry. We went to Limited- Too and bought some rocking JONAS BROTHERS stuff. Then we got our outfits ready for the next day. My dad said that Lena and I were crazy chicks because we love the JONAS BROTHERS! We saw the most adorable puppy and I was ready to take it home with us.

When we woke up the next day we were jumping up and down and screaming. We woke up around 7 o’clock a.m. and my mom was still sleeping. My grandma was getting in the shower. Lena and I ran to our suitcase and grabbed our clothes out and I ran into the master bathroom and Lena ran into the guest bathroom and we both came flying out of the bathrooms zipping our sweatshirts.

That night we went to the JONAS BROTHERS CONCERT! It was six thirty when we got there. After we were seated there was a huge room full of smoke by the time the opening act started singing everybody was coughing. After the opening act sang three of their songs a lot of the girls started chanting JONAS, JONAS, JONAS, JONAS. So the opening act went off stage and started playing so every one thought it was the JONAS BROTHERS. My parents went to one of the food stands and bought six very salty pretzels and some water. After the admission was over the lights started flashing and there were pyrotechnics blowing from the stage, and it was loud so Lena and I looked at each other and started screaming. At the second admission Lena and I grabbed for our water because our throats were really sore. Then the JONAS BROTHERS walked out on the stage and the crowd went wild. And then the JONAS BROTHERS started playing their music, they played SOS, YEAR 3000, KIDS OF THE FUTURE, HOLD ON, STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU, GAMES, AUSTRAILA, GOOD NIGHT AND GOODBYE, HOLLYWOOD, and BURNIG UP, LOVEBUG. By the time the concert was over Lena and I were hungry and thirsty and tired. We kept thanking my parents and grandma. We got home around 1 in the morning and we ate cereal for the millionth time that day. The next the day JONAS BROTHERS left Las Vegas and Lena and I were still thinking it was the night of the concert.

The Last Time I Went To the Tri-County Fair

Last August there was a fair in Bishop. It was a tri county fair. At the tri county fair just like any other fair there was a parking lot, at the end of the parking lot there was a ticket booth with four places to get tickets. When you enter the fair you see a small circus that is not nearly as big as a regular circus with reddish orange and yellow stripes if you turn left you see all the rides to your left you see a ride for little kids that has cars that look like cartoon dragons. You’ll also see a fun house with a maze made of mirrors I always bump in to the walls and once you make it to the top there are some mirrors that make you look weird and the way you get down is a slide. If you look straight ahead you’ll see a ride that goes around in circles at about 20 mph and the cars spin at 10 mph and if you have rollercoaster tycoon it’s called the eye popper. And if you go right a little ways and look left you’ll see a fun house that I didn’t go in to and it’s the kind where you get out using one of those tubes that rotates and most people fall down when they try to get out. If you go forwards a little ways you’ll see a ride that you sit on a chair and you go up into the air and it spins you. Then if you turn left you’ll see the gravitron it’s the type of ride where you jump up and stick to the wall because of how fast you’re going.
If you look to your left you’ll see another fun house shaped like a pirate ship, and if you look straight ahead you’ll see the zipper on which the cars go upside down and they go in a squashed oval shape. If you go backwards a ways and turn right you’ll be at the demolition derby, the cars in the demolition derby are different each year. So if you ever in Bishop in the last week of August go to the tri county fair!

Knott’s Berry Farm

I went to Knott’s Berry Farm on November 5, 2008. My school went for our Star trip that was like a trip to heaven. The kids who do well or get advanced go on this special trip every year. I have gone on this trip for three years now. My first year on one of these trips we went to Sierra Lanes bowling center in Ridgecrest. When we were at the bowling alleys I was sweating like a wild boar in the hot summer because I was losing to my best friend. For the last most recent time before this one we went to Knott’s Berry Farm. This trip was so much fun and very wet.When I was riding Perilous Plunge & Bigfoot Rapids I got as wet as a fish swimming in the ocean. These trips are so fun because you are gone from home for about 18 hours with your friends.

What is surprising is every time my beautiful mom goes on these trips she is not my boring/ baby sit chaperone who takes me every where. And every time my mom goes with one of my very obnoxious older and younger brothers. I can’t wait to go on one of these awesome trips to amusement parks to ride rides that makes air blow threw your hair and also to taste their mouth watering hamburgers and fried chicken.
